I Ad to do it

ADELE was so traumatised by George Michael’s death that she went AWOL on Christmas Day.

The shocked Hello singer revealed she left hubby Simon Konecki and four-year-old son Angelo at home so she could process the devastating news on her own.

It was on her stroll that Adele first came up with the idea of her show-stopping Grammy Awards tribute performance of Fast Love.

Adele said: “I was so devastated on Christmas Day I had to go for a walk on my own and breathe for a while.

“Then on Boxing Day I said to Simon I have to do that tribute.”

Adele won another five Grammys last Sunday, taking her total to 15. ED Sheeran is set to knock himself off the singles chart top spot with new track How Would You Feel (Paean). But music’s man-ofthe-moment could face some serious competition from manband Take That. Gary Barlow and Co are just a few thousand copies ahead of the ginger genius with new single Giants.

But record industry experts have tipped Ed to be No.1 when the Official Chart is revealed on Friday.

My source said: “Ed and Take That are battling it out for this week’s top spot.

“Take That are ahead at the moment but everyone is tipping Ed to come out on top.”
