The former rugby league star also compared the red-hot atmosphere and noise of the Cardiff crowd last weekend where England beat Wales 21-16 to similar to a State of Origin game Down Under.

Te’o, 30, hopes to get his first England Six Nations start against Italy on Sunday and insists the more intimidati­ng the crowd, the more pumped up he gets to prove them wrong.

The Auckland-born star said: “Some of the things I went through during my rugby league career gave confidence that I am not going to face anything that I haven’t before.

“The atmosphere at Card i f f was unbelievab­le. I thought it was exciting and great to experience.

“It was very, very similar to a State of JUDD TRUMP beat Scotland’s Scott Donaldson to reach his first Welsh Open final yesterday.

The Juddernaut opened with a stunning break of 131 and surged into a 4-1 lead.

Donaldson fought back to 4-3 before Trump closed the match out in style, making the decisive move with a 74 break in the eighth frame to win 6-3 in Cardiff.

He said: “It’s always special when you reach the semi-finals and finals. It’s a different atmosphere out there and you really thrive off it

“It would be an amazing achievemen­t to win it. I feel like I’ve really improved this season and it’s taking people at the top of their game to beat me.

“Every tournament I go into I’m fully prepared.”
