MUM WHO BOUGHT TWINS HITS OUT AT STAR ‘It’s fine for Madonna to adopt but I’m slagged off’
JIMMY McCLOSKEY A MUM criticised for buying babies over the internet has slammed Madonna for her latest adoption. Judith Kilshaw was dubbed Britain’s most-hated mum after paying £8,200 for six-month-old American twins Belinda and Kimberly in 2001. Judith, who had the girls taken from her by social services, told the Daily Star Sunday: “It really annoys me. “Why is she allowed to do it when I wasn’t? They don’t slag her off but they slag me off. “It’s the same situation, except she’s got money and lawyers protecting her. We were out in the cold. We didn’t have anyone to advise us.” Judith, 63, from Wrexham, north Wales, condemned Madonna, 58, for adopting four-year-old Malawian sisters Stelle and Esther three weeks ago even though their dad is still alive. She said: “Personally, I wouldn’t have done it the way she’s done it. Those kids had families, didn’t they? I would rather have adopted a child who didn’t have a family. “She’s probably got nannies so she can go off on tour. She can pick and choose the good bits of being a mother. “I would prefer to go to slums where people have nothing and offer a six or seven-year-old the choice of a new life.” Judith also took aim at Madonna for posting a snap of her new arrivals in adidas tracksuits last week, saying: “It’s tacky and a waste of money. What’s the point of buying this nice stuff that they’ll grow out of in five minutes.” Judith hit after buying Kimberly. At the time, Prime Minister Tony Blair branded her “disgusting.” Social services seized the twins from the mum-of-four and her ex-husband Alan shortly after they arrived in Britain.
