DENISE Fox is faced with the agonising decision of whether to sign the consent form for her baby’s adoption.

Tormented Denise gave birth to tough guy Phil Mitchell’s love-child last month, but decided she couldn’t look after him – to the horror of her sister Kim.

The baby boy was taken into care and last week Denise received a call saying that a suitable family had been found and they wanted to make the adoption official.

The news left Denise distressed and Kim took the opportunity to plead with her sister to reconsider.

But feisty Kim has no idea that Phil is the daddy.

As viewers know, he discovered the truth shortly after his son was born and demanded to see him.

In emotional scenes, Denise explained her reasoning behind wanting to give her child up for adoption.

She told Phil their age and chaotic lives made them both unsuitable parents.

Denise’s words got through to him and he agreed to stand by her decision.

An EastEnders insider said: “Denise is in turmoil. She’s in her late 40s and doesn’t believe EMMERDALE star Emma Atkins reckons Charity Dingle could have finally met her match where charming conman Frank Clayton is concerned.

But the gorgeous actress, who has played the troublesome minx for the last 17 years, is enjoying working with Michael Praed.

During Thursday night’s episode, Charity grows convinced she has stolen Frank from her love rival Megan Macey. The pair, above, enjoyed their first romp after pulling off a diamond heist at Home Farm that saw Charity swap some fake gems for real ones.

But viewers will have to wait to see if Frank has an ulterior motive after Charity blackmailed him into helping her with the dodge.

Having recorded Frank bragging about all the scams he had pulled she can take care of her baby boy despite Kim offering her support. Once she signs the consent form there is no going back.

“It’s a huge decision for her and Kim is doing everything she can to try and make her change her mind.

“Everyone will have to wait and see whether she actually goes through with the adoption.”
