Dynasty legend Michael, while Mark Brennan’s a real dream boy

-

JOHN Paul McQueen is stunned when James Nightingale makes a marriage proposal. Bosses won’t say whether he accepts but with actor James Sutton having already filmed his final scenes it’s not looking good for their relationship.

There’s also the matter of John Paul’s ex-husband Ste Hay, with whom he shared a kiss last week. And when they receive their decree absolute in the post the pair are feeling emotional about their failed marriage.

Ste’s boyfriend Harry Thompson decides to mark the occasion by throwing a divorce party for the former couple, which doesn’t go down at all well. But it’s John Paul who is left shocked when James proposes. A Hollyoaks insider said: “John Paul spent months trying to get to know and understand James. All he wanted was for him to show him he is serious about their relationship. “He only recently told John Paul he loved him but that came after he shared a kiss with Ste. “There’s a lot coming up before John Paul’s exit. It’s going to be dramatic with a number of twists and turns.” Popular actor James, 34, has played gay schoolteacher John Paul since 2006 and is one of the soap’s longest-serving cast members. Back in 2014 he was involved in a harrowing male rape storyline that saw John Paul attacked by twisted schoolboy Finn O’Connor. A year later he made soap history when John Paul and Ste tied the knot in the first gay church wedding in TV soaps. Watch all the drama unfold on the Channel 4 show as James proposes to John Paul a week tomorrow.
