MI5 were hell-bent on Uri test

Is it a doggie bag? No, a Crufts onesie

-

WHEN you’re trying to get noticed at Crufts, a shiny coat is no longer enough.

These pedigree pooches set a new trend in canine fashion as they went walkies in wacky onesies.

It seems owners will do anything to catch the judges’ eyes at the annual dog show at Birmingham’s NEC. And Crufts host Iwan Thomas reckons the event is just as competitive as the Olympics.

The former athlete, 43, ED GLEAVE said: “It sounds crazy to people who don’t own dogs. But this is the doggy world Olympics. “Dogs come from all around the world to compete and the owners are really proud of them and they train them so well.”

Colourful outfits aren’t the only bonkers goodies on sale. Iwan, pictured inset, added: “I saw a £50,000 dog house which had a plasma TV, a treadmill and a swimming pool. “It was almost better than a normal home. “You can also buy a roast dinner for your dog or a dog collar that’s made out of diamante crystals.” See highlights of today’s action and the Best In Show tonight at 7pm on Channel 4. ISOBEL DICKINSON URI Geller has claimed MI5 used a British chat show as a cover to lure him to the UK to assess his powers.

Uri, who rose to fame with his spoon-bending act, said the The David Dimbleby Talk-In show was a ruse for the secret service to test his psychic abilities.

He even claimed British and American spy agencies are trying to use mindbenders like himself as weapons to blow up cities.

The 70-year-old said: “There’s a major network of scientists and intelligence agencies who are trying to get 10 people like me to concentrate on one city and blow it into a black hole, making it disappear.”

Documents declassified by the CIA in January show Uri’s telepathic skills were examined at the Stanford Research Institute in California in 1973. He was found to have “convincing and unambiguous” abilities.

Uri, who was pals with late pop star Michael Jackson, said: “I believe MI5 was behind my invitation to appear on David Dimbleby.

“MI5 or MI6 wanted to get me to the UK, so that was how they arranged it.

“They knew about the tests in the US and wanted to see for themselves.”

Uri also revealed that he told Theresa May she would become Prime Minister during a meeting in 2013 after touching a spoon that belonged to Churchill.

The experiments he took part in were part of the CIA’s Stargate Program. They aimed to find out if ‘remote viewing’ – a method used to recall information kept in a different location – was possible.

He also claimed one of the exercises his handlers tried to make him do was to stop the heart of a pig.
