Horror on train track

A MAN is fighting for life after being hit by a 75mph train.

He was struck on a pedestrian crossing close to Starcross Station, near Exeter.

The man, who has not been named, was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital.

Devon and Cornwall Police said he was hit on an “occupational pedestrian crossing” – one intended for use by railway maintenance crews.
