King acting up

CHARLIE King returned to TOWIE after narrowly missing out on a major part in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.

The reality star-turnedcelebrity personal trainer made it down to the last two for the role of Hollyoaks newcomer Kyle, but lost out to former Corrie star Adam Rickitt.

Chatting at DIVA Magazine Awards, Charlie said: “Just getting down to the bottom two has given me confidence to carry on with the acting. But it just wasn’t meant to be. I’m now back in TOWIE so everything happens for a reason.

“It was only supposed to be for an episode but now I’m back for the series.” Charlie is back on TOWIE tonight at 10pm in his new profession as a PT as he whips Gemma Collins into shape. He added: “Gemma hates being told what to do so if I can train her I can train anyone.” Meanwhile, former Loose Women star Denise Welch won DIVA Magazine’s Straight Ally of the Year gong.
