Faith ’n Chas face-off

-

DEBBIE Dingle attempts to reunite Faith and Chas by forcing them to sit down and talk.

Chas has been adamant that she wants nothing to do with her mum since she returned to the village last month.

But with the rest of the Dingle family having warmed to the glam gran, Debbie decides it is time the mother and daughter sort out their differences. She invites Chas to the farm for a girls’ lunch and insists Faith will be out. But when Chas arrives she is shocked to discover she has been set up.

Lucy Pargeter, who plays Chas, said: “They’re at loggerheads and Chas is determined that she isn’t going to make things up with Faith because she is convinced she doesn’t need her mother in her life.

“She would much rather Faith just went back to wherever she came from and isn’t keen on her being in the village, wheedling her way back into the family.” As the women talk, Faith drops a bombshell on her daughter that looks set to change everything between them.

Whether it leads to the pair making up before Lucy goes on maternity leave remains to be seen.

The actress, pregnant with twins, will leave the village next month along with Isobel Steele who plays Liv Flaherty.

Liv is set to quit the village after her mum has an accident so Isobel can have time off for her GCSEs. Lucy added: “Chas holds so much resentment towards Faith for things that aren’t necessarily her fault.

“She pins all the mistakes that she’s made with Aaron on Faith too because she hasn’t had anyone to show her how to be a good parent.” ITV viewers can watch all the drama this Thursday.
