JACOBS’ Crackers

- SUNDAY SERVICE

TRAINER Neil Mulholland seems to specialise in staying chasers and his DOING FINE can out-gallop his rivals in the extended three-mile event at Wincanton due off 2.45.

A lightly raced nine-yearold with only 15 starts under rules, the nap selection has only won once over the larger obstacles but the handicapper looks to have shown him a bit of mercy.

Down to a mark of 129, he can make the most of the 2lbs he receives from the top weight Pressurize from the in-form Venetia Williams’ yard.

In the following race, MISTERTON looks a solid wager to land the novices handicap hurdle.

The grey son of Sagamix has come up against some fair novices this season and the return to a sharper track looks the perfect set-up for him.

I have always been a huge fan of Daryl Jacob (above) especially over fences and he can notch another victory when he partners MRSROBIN in the 3.00 at Hereford.

She ran a solid race over course and distance last time out and probably has most to fear from Tara Mac.

WISHICOULD is sharply on the upgrade and Charlie Mann’s charge should readily land the 3.30, while the best each-way call on the card is ACTIONDANCER in the finale at 4.30.

Finally, have a second look at the claims of DEFINITE RUBY in the feature Ulster National at Downpatrick at 3.50.

This helter-skelter track is made to measure for this mare and she arrives here in outstanding form having recently won over hurdles. THE WEEK AHEAD BOROUGH BOY simply got going too late over five furlongs last time out and makes plenty of appeal if lining up over a furlong further in the Southwell 2.00 on Wednesday. Also, keep a look out for DANDILION in the 4.20 at Wolverhampton on Tuesday. She simply didn’t act on the track at Newcastle two weeks ago and returns to the scene of her only triumph to date earlier in the month.

HOT TO TROT SAVED MY BACON finished just fourth of the seven runners in a six furlong handicap on Thursday but that was a nice step up in form from her previous starts and she may be ready to strike when she returns to her beloved Southwell.
