Dylan has the Hart of a Lion GAT MUST MAKE HIM CAPTAIN SAYS JAMES

-

GARY FITZGERALD fingers crossed that at 31 and having won 75 England caps, he gets his first chance to become a Lion on the other side of the world. He said: “Being an older pro, if I got the chance to go on a Lions tour it would be something very special and something to cherish. But that decision is not in my hands. All I can do is put my hand up every time I play for Wasps or England. “Then you just hope you get noticed and that those who pick the squad feel you deserve a call-up. “But if it doesn’t happen there is also the England tour to Argentina which will be a chance for everyone who goes over there to throw down a marker for the future. “There are a lot of good guys not involved in the squad banging on the door to get their chance. They know once you get through the door you grab the opportunity to stay there.” Haskell insists he and his England team-mates will use their Dublin misery to be mentally stronger and better by the time the 2019 World Cup in Japan comes along. He said: “We had an opportunity to make history and did not do it. “Everybody wants to beat England. The Irish were desperate to stop us and they managed to find a way. “But we had put together 18 consecutive wins and we must make sure the defeat in Dublin was just a hiccup along the way to becoming the best team in the world. “That was the goal before we played Ireland and remains the target from now until the World Cup when, hopefully, we will be in a great place to win it. “The challenge now is once you have a negative experience, how you react to it.”
