PAUL HETHERINGTON different way and at a different speed. It is what you do from there that is the main thing.” Rashford has been used in wide positions by United and England but his preferred role is as a central striker. The United starlet said: “I think I’m a No.9 but if I have to move to other positions for certain games it is what you have to do. It’s using your attributes. “The modern-day forward and attacker is not just a No.9 or a No.10. It is someone who can interchange between positions if needed to do so. “At United, the manager, Jose Mourinho, has controlled the situation well. “There are a lot of things going on at the club at the moment and he has everything under control.” Rashford revealed he is happy to return to the England Under-21s squad in the summer for the European Championships if selected. He said: “It is up to the coaching staff and managers to decide if I go to that. “But if I go, I’ll be approaching it with the same attitude that I have with the seniors. For me, these are exciting times. “Getting tournament experience is massive, as long as everything is aimed towards the long-term objective. “We obviously want to be successful and win trophies. So whatever we have to do to get to that, like gaining experience, everyone is happy to do that.” United boss Mourinho (left) may well prefer to see Rashford rest in summer but the young striker has England ambitions too. Rashford has come a long way in the last year, with both club and country. He refers to it as a “journey” – and it has been rapid. And when he looks ahead, he said: “Where will I be in the next 12 months? Well, more trophies – it’s as simple as that.” And more goals? “Yeah!”
