Steve in US ‘ban’

-

TELLY host Steve Jones has declared he won’t work in the US while Donald Trump is President.

Steve, 40, shot to fame across the pond when he fronted the first series of X Factor USA. But last year’s election means he has no plans to return.

“I was watching CNN religiously before the election,” he said.

“But when Trump won it all became too real and I couldn’t watch anymore. “It makes me sick to my stomach – it gives me heartburn. It’s just an avalanche of s***. I ignore it all now – enough is enough,” said Steve, who hosts coverage of Formula One on Channel 4.

“I had a fantastic time living in America. But I think now Trump is in power I’ll wait another four years before me and my wife do anything over there.” CASEY Batchelor was left reeling by a farting fisherman while filming her latest project.

The CBB beauty, 32, jumped at the chance to compete on the ITV series The Big Fish Off but she soon discovered it was a world away from her glamorous life as a model. Bosses teamed her up with angling expert Ali Hamidi and he gave her a bum deal.

Casey said: “Ali was training EXCLUSIVE ED GLEAVE me in how to fish and he really knew what he was talking about. But I was with him for three days and he kept farting the whole time. “He didn’t apologise either…he just kept doing it!”

Casey also missed out on a sunshine break with pals to be part of The Big Fish Off.

She added: “I had a holiday booked to Ibiza with friends. ED GLEAVE GEORDIE Shore’s stars neck more than 1,300 bottles of booze filming a series. In their messy nightly drinking sessions they enjoy rosé wine, cider, tequila and vodka. They’re also partial to prosecco, spiced rum, beer and Jagermeister. And the massive alcohol delivery over a six-week run is downed by a group of just EIGHT stars. Show hunk Aaron Chalmers said: “Before we leave the house on a normal night we’ll get through a bottle of vodka. When we get to the club we’ll have five more bottles, easily. “We get through hundreds of bottles of vodka alone every series. It adds up to thousands of units.” Co-star Chloe Ferry added: “We drink anything that’s handed to us. The girls love a glass of wine. I get told to stop drinking by producers. “I can’t handle my drink and I get drunk easily. But the boys can handle a lot more.” The heavy boozing means the cast, also including Gaz Beadle, are always hungover. Chloe said: “People don’t realise how hard it is to film Geordie Shore. “We go out every single night and we still have to get up the next morning to do But then they changed the filming dates for The Big Fish Off at the last minute, so I had to miss it. “While my mates were having cocktails in the sun, I was sitting in the rain in Newquay stinking of fish. I had to handle maggots too. The weather was just terrible. It was pouring down almost all the time we were there.

“I probably looked like a drowned rat. It was certainly a world away from modelling. ” Casey competed against Love Island’s Jess Hayes on the show and, even though she had no experience of fishing, she still pulled a whopper.

She said: “It did get quite competitive between me and Jess. I was a complete novice to begin with but I did catch a 13-pound mirror carp. “The fisherman said how amazing it was.” See Casey on the show on Thursday at 8pm on ITV4.
