SUPERSTAR WANTS TO LIVE ’NORMAL LIFE’

-

ED SHEERAN is considering “retiring” from music to live, a normal family life. The world-conquering singer is thinking about walking away from fame to marry and have kids. According to sources close to the multi-award winning superstar, Ed could “quit” the music industry for a good five or ten years before releasing his next album. They went as far as to suggest his third album DIVIDE, which is currently on its seventh week at No.1, could be his last. A pal said: “Ed has pretty STEPS have issued a come and get us plea to next year’s BRITs’ bosses.

The group had 14 consecutive top five hits in their heyday but never got to sing at the awards on their own.

Claire Richards told me: “We never performed at the BRITs just as Steps. We did a big Abba medley with B*Witched and Cleopatra and other groups but we’ve never done anything on our own.

“It would be nice to get a nod from the industry which we have never had. “We’ve never had credit for what we have done.

“People don’t realise what we have achieved. For years we we’re just seen as naff but the stats speak for themselves.”

Lee Latchford-Evans added: “We would love to do the BRITs but there is snobbery, even after selling 22 arena dates.”

Steps will attempt to knock Ed Sheeran off the top spot next week after releasing their new album Tears on the Dance Floor on Friday.

But they aren’t hopeful after admitting they are AMY “with” Childs looks like she’s ready to drop at any minute with her baby bump. The former TOWIE star is expecting her first child, a girl, with boyfriend Bradley Wright. Amy, who is 38 weeks pregnant, recently revealed she’d had a scare after falling over the stair gate she has installed for her dog. Chatting in her column, she said: “I lost four toenails and was covered in cuts and bruises. “OMG, I was in such a panic! I called my midwife but all was OK as I fell on to my side and not my belly.” much achieved everything there is to achieve in music.

“He absolutely loves what he does and is riding the wave of his success at the moment, but at the same time he wants a more normal life.

“When or if he gets married he wants to put his wife and kids first and not his career. If that means going AWOL for years then so be it.”

Rumours have been rife that Ed will marry his girlfriend Cherry Seaborn.

However, the Shape of You singer denied that he was preparing to pop the question any time soon.

Insiders believe the next few years will be crucial as Ed is away on tour for the next six months. My source added: “The big test is if the relationship survives this album and the tour.

“When they got together Ed was on his year off but every day in his schedule for the next year is practically full.”

Losing Ed would be a massive blow to the music industry. He can boast the fastest-selling album by a male artist in chart history.

Every track on the record reached the Top 20 of the Singles Chart in the opening week of the album’s release – a first by any artist.

And Shape of You has stayed at No.1 for 14 non-consecutive weeks in the UK and 12 non-consecutive weeks in the US.
