Nelly back on song as she blasts fame game

POP icon Nelly Furtado is back after quitting the music industry following a “breakdown”.

The Canadian singer became a huge star back in the early Noughties thanks to singles I’m Like A Bird, Promiscuou­s and Maneater.

But she went AWOL from the pop charts to look after her daughter following a split from her husband.

Talking of new album The Ride, Nelly said: “There’s a lot of emotion on this record. I wrote one line and just collapsed in FORMER TOWIE stunner Lucy Mecklenbur­gh has hit back at claims she Photoshops her social media pictures. The fitness fanatic, who has just been spotted cuddling up to Kelly Brook’s hunky ex- Thom Evans, denied retouching images to appear slimmer. Gorgeous Lucy, who has dated both Mark Wright and Louis Smith, posted: “Just been reading a few comments under online articles which I never normally do as people can be really, really hurtful! But I had a little look and everyone is saying I retouch my social media photos. The honest answer is I would literally have no idea how to.” Retouched or not I’m sure few men would complain about how she looks in this exclusive snap. floods of tears on my living room floor in pieces. Nelly went on to warn up-andcoming stars against the pitfalls of fame, while praising Adele and Ed Sheeran for getting the balance right between pop superstard­om and privacy. She added: “Fame isn’t healthy at all. I wouldn’t recommend seeking fame at all. “You have to take fame in doses. Adele and Ed Sheeran have the perfect balance between their private life and fame. “I have had to make a conscious effort to make my life really small again so I could live in the real world again.” The Ride is out now.
