While actress Gaynor speaks of shock at car snatch storyline

-

GAYNOR Faye says she can’t defend her character’s actions when she leaves her daughter in the car by accident.

Gaynor, who has played feisty businesswoman Megan Macey for five years, said she was horrified when she discovered what would happen to baby Eliza.

Viewers will this week see Megan struggling with the demands of her wedding business while also taking care of her daughter.

She is about to land a huge deal when Eliza’s nursery calls to tell her she needs to pick up her baby as they have had a burst pipe.

With her head in work mode, she races to the nursery before heading back to the office. But after parking up she forgets she has her baby in the car.

In the office she receives a call from Eliza’s dad Jai Sharma and it suddenly dawns on her that she has forgotten her daughter.

Megan runs outside and panics when she sees her door open and Eliza missing from her baby seat.

Gaynor, a mum-of-two, said: “I have never left my children in the car. “The thought of leaving your baby in the car for any length of time is inconceivable. But these things do happen.

“We were talking about it and somebody said they’d seen twins in a Range Rover outside a supermarket.

“She stayed with the babies and waited for the mum to return. Seriously, who does that? I can’t imagine what it must feel like to find your baby not there.”

Distraught Megan calls the police and is forced to admit her mistake to ex-lover Jai, giving him ammunition to use against her.

Gaynor added: “Megan has always been so protective of Eliza. She’s only just let Jai back into her life, so he’s got his trump card now. That’s how he works.

Fans can find out what happens to little Eliza this Thursday.
