Bubbles on film
MICHAEL Jackson’s chimp Bubbles is having a movie made about himself.
Insiders say the animated comedy will examine Jackson’s world through the eyes of his pet as the King of Pop goes on tour, moves to Neverland and eventually suffers accusations of child abuse A deal looks set to be announced by Netflix at the Cannes Film Festival, with filming due to start later this year.
The stop-motion feature is to be co-directed by Oscar-nominated Taika Waititi whose latest effort Thor: Ragnarok will open in UK cinemas in October. A studio source said: “This is a comedy pure and simple, all about how even Bubbles thinks his master’s world was off the chart. The principle is funny and the script is packed with clever, funny moments.”
