Meg crazy for TOWIE

SHE’S earned the nickname “Mental Meg” – but TOWIE tornado Megan McKenna has revealed all cast members must pass a psychiatric assessment before being cleared to film.

The former Ex On The Beach and Celeb Big Brother star has admitted seeing the show’s psychiatric team regularly during filming.

But despite being famous for her temper tantrums and on-screen meltdowns, Megan denies being any crazier than the rest of the ITVBe cast.

She said: “Filming TOWIE can be so stressful. It is in the contract everyone has to see a psychiatrist. You have to see them and get checked over before the series starts and at the end.

“You can also see them throughout filming, especially if you’re in the middle of a stressful storyline.

“I generally see them every few weeks but I don’t think that’s more than anyone else.”

Megan is currently recording new music and focusing on her Mouthy lip gloss range and new restaurant McK Grill while on a break before TOWIE returns in the autumn.

But despite the stress, she be back.

She added: “I will definitely return for more drama, even though it does stress me out and I feel like a lot of the cast want me to leave.

“TOWIE is opening a lot of doors for me so why would I leave?”
