Groves: This is my last chance

-

GEORGE GROVES admits his career will be over if he loses on Saturday.

The Londoner has his fourth crack at a world crown when he challenges Russian Fedor Chudinov for the WBA super-middleweight title at Bramall Lane. Groves, 29, has rebuilt his career since a split points loss to Badou Jack in September 2015, which followed back-to-back stoppage losses to Carl Froch. He said: “Training hard does things to the body and it takes it a bit longer to recover, get the weight off. You age a little more after the sessions.

“It’s all good but it is now or never. I’ve a little baby at home and I want to spend some time with him so the sooner I get this cracked the sooner we are all on our way.

“There’s no more time to be wasted. Ultimately, this could be my last fight – how many chances can one guy have?”
