Hair-raiser on Big One for Fellaini

FRIZZY-HAIRED football ace Marouane Fellaini is aiming to conquer his fear of rollercoasters.
Marouane, 29, has always been terrified of amusement park rides because of the high speeds and sudden drops.
But the 6ft 5ins Manchester United star has invited a handful of pals to join him next month for an afternoon’s fun at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
And the Belgian midfielder has already vowed he will tackle the famous 74mph Big One terror ride. Opened in 1994 and costing £12million, carriages roll to a dizzing height of 65 metres before plunging with a facenumbing 3.5 G-force.
A pal revealed: “Marouane might come across as a bit madcap because of his hair and as a tough guy because of his physical presence on the pitch. But he’s actually a bit of a pussycat.
“He has seen all the white-knuckle rides on TV and has always thought that there is no way he would fancy that. “But some of his mates back in Belgium have been teasing him for years about why he won’t even consider giving it a go on the roller-coasters.
“So there’s a few of them coming over in a couple of weeks’ time and he’s said that he’ll do The Big One if they do.
“I’ve never seen him look at all worried in the past – but I wouldn’t mind seeing his face when he gets in that carriage at the top!”
Fellaini, who won a Europa League winner’s medal with his Manchester United teammates last week, arrived in England from Belgian side Standard Liege in 2008.
He joined Everton before his £27.5million transfer to United in 2013.
