I’ve taken the Flack over love

ISLE CAZ ALL HEART

- ■ EXCLUSIVE by ED GLEAVE

CAROLINE Flack says hosting Love Island reminds her of her own dating disasters. Despite being one of the hottest babes on the box, she has struggled when it comes to romance. In the past she has had a relationship with Harry Styles and even been linked to Prince Harry. In an exclusive chat, Caroline, inset, said: “With Love Island you see people getting into relationships like ones we all have. “You relate to the situations… when you get rejected, when you like someone and you don’t know how to tell them, when you don’t know how to act around someone and how you feel when you like someone but they’re with someone else. “They are the real emotions you feel when you’re in love with someone. There’s that jealousy that you don’t want to show…but then you do. We’ve all been there. “All the stuff we see on Love Island is them reacting to how they’re feeling.” Rival reality shows including Big Brother and Ex On The Beach are known for being controversial. But Caroline reckons Love Island is popular because the contestants don’t row as much. She said: “The dramas we see on the show are with genuine emotion. It’s never nastiness or bullying or people picking on people. They don’t have arguments for the sake of it.” Love Island has been a ratings hit since it returned last week, pulling in ITV2’s biggest viewing figures of the year. Caroline said: “Within the first few days we had to start dropping stuff from the edit because so much was happening. “Two years ago I knew this was an amazing show but I couldn’t have predicted if people would like it. It’s nice we got another series last year and then this. “That doesn’t happen often in telly. Usually if something doesn’t work, then it doesn’t work. But we got another chance. This is a show that could build and build.” Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
