Fragile Daniel turns to drugs to ease guilt over attack on his dad

DANIEL Osbourne will suffer a drugs overdose as he struggles with his guilt after attacking his dad Ken Barlow. Fragile Daniel has been in a dark place ever since Ken and the rest of the Barlow clan discovered the shocking truth about the attack.

Ken offers to pay for him to see a therapist but the lad refuses his help.

Guilt-ridden, he tells him he doesn’t deserve his help or support.

Daniel tries to reach out to ex-girlfriend Sinead Tinker but is left distraught when she refuses to talk to him.

Desperate to escape from reality, he gets the opportunity when a drug dealer from Robert Preston’s past turns up at the Bistro.

Dodgy Rich flirts with Robert’s girlfriend Michelle Connor before offering Robert some drugs. He declines but Daniel hears the conversation.

He later tells Rich that Robert has changed his mind and wants the drugs. When Rich later demands payment from Robert, the restaurant owner soon realises what Daniel has done.

A Corrie insider said: “Robert realises that Daniel has gone off with a large quantity of drugs and starts to panic.

“He rushes round to his flat and bangs on his door but gets no response. Adam arrives and lets them in and they discover Daniel unconscious.

“Adam is furious that Daniel was able to get hold of the drugs given his mental state and blames Robert for the situation.”
