Piers: I’m the daddy of arguing
PIERS Morgan has admitted he is even argumentative with his own children, writes ED GLEAVE.
The gobby TV star is father to Spencer, 23, Stanley, 19, Bertie, 15, and Elise, five.
And family time is never quiet, according to Piers.
He said: “I argue with my kids all the time. I say to them, ‘I don’t mind what view you have but I do mind if you don’t back it up with a good argument’.
“I will argue with them for hours. I’m breeding a whole new Morgan dynasty of argumentative people.”
Piers is known for airing his outspoken views on Twitter and as the host of Good Morning Britain.
But the former newspaper editor claims he is ready to hold his hands up when he makes a mistake.
He said: “I’ll admit I’m wrong. All the campaigns I’ve waged have been unsuccessful, yet I’ll argue that history will judge I was right.
“Guns in America, the Iraq War, Wenger overstaying his welcome at Arsenal, Kevin Pietersen being tossed on to the cricket bonfire aged 33…
“I’m not afraid to say I think this is wrong, even if it makes me unpopular with the mob who have decided ‘this is the view and that’s it’. That’s spineless. Be your own people.”
