Secret affair exposed as Roy catches his pal having a fling with his ex

HERE’S poor Roy Cropper discovering his lodger Brian Packham is having a fling with his ex-love Cathy Matthews.

The couple have been sneaking around for weeks but, as our photo shows, Roy is in for a shock when he returns home early.

His flustered pal tells Roy he has “a girlfriend” stuck in the bathroom and Roy insists on helping out.

But then he spots Cathy’s coat hanging on the rack.

As viewers know Roy and Cathy’s relationship ended on their wedding day in December. Heartbroken Cathy was devastated when she found out that Roy didn’t love her and was only marrying her to keep his word. Following a conversation with neighbour Yasmeen Nazir, hapless Brian realises that it would probably be best to come clean with Roy about his feelings for Cathy.

But before he can get the chance Roy catches them together.

Everyone will have to wait to see how he reacts and what it means for their friendship.

A Corrie insider said: “Roy broke Cathy’s heart but he was still grieving for his wife Hayley.

“Cathy has moved on with Brian and things have been going really well for them.

“They’ve enjoyed a string of dates but have sworn everyone to secrecy as they don’t know how Roy will react. But after watching their antics for a couple of weeks Yasmeen decides to give Brian a piece of her mind.

“It really makes him think about the situation and he decides it would be best to come clean. Sadly, he doesn’t get the chance.”
