BIG Brother contestant Simone Reed is a convicted thug who served time behind bars.

The Daily Star Sunday can reveal she was sentenced to six months inside in 2009 after being found guilty of affray.

Viewers saw Simone, 28, enter BB on Thursday night as a funloving character.

But bosses now face a backlash after we expose her past today.

Simone competed in X Factor in 2013 but was axed from the live shows when her criminal record came to light.

BB bosses have now welcomed her and her shocking past has not even been mentioned on the show, leaving viewers in the dark. ED GLEAVE TV Editor A TV industry insider said: “Big Brother producers are likely to get a backlash because of this. Thousands of fans apply to be housemates and yet they have picked a criminal. “Many viewers will be furious that someone like her is being given such a privileged platform and the chance to carve out a TV career.” Simone was caged for her involvement in a brawl at Thornaby train station in Redcar when she was 20. She head-butted a 51-year-old woman and then kicked her as she lay on the ground. Simone then laid into a 29-yearold man. The judge said at the time: “You lost total self-control.” She has defended her actions in the past and said: “I was younger, I made mistakes but it’s not who I am now.”

Simone has tried to make it as a celebrity on a host of low-budget reality shows in recent years.

She once became an internet sensation after video footage of her stripping in a job centre was posted online.

The mum-of-two tried to become the “People’s Housemate” on Big Brother’s launch night last month but failed.

After a string of shock exits, producers brought her back last week to spice up the show.

She entered on Thursday alongside Sue Evans, Sam Chaloner and Andrew Cruickshanks.

In a twist they have been told they are not eligible to be crowned series winner. But they will compete for a £15,000 slice of the prize pot – with the cash going to whoever lasts the longest. CORRIE bosses are all set to bring scheming Andy Carver back from the dead.

Show chiefs are convinced the shock stunt will boost ratings for the soap.

Viewers saw the hunk, played by Oliver Farnworth, appear to be murdered in January.

In dramatic scenes evil Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) beat him with a laptop.

Actor Oliver even had a leaving party with his co-stars. But we can reveal he has been back at the studios in Manchester.

He has been on set twice in recent weeks to film his comeback scenes.

A TV insider said: “Oliver’s return has been shrouded in secrecy.

“Producers reckon throwing in TV Editor ED GLEAVE such a massive twist will be amazing TV.”

There has been speculation for months that Andy is still alive. Even after he was beaten by Pat, his body was never seen on screen.

And during a scene in March strange noises were heard coming from the pipes – which left some fans convinced Andy was still alive and being held hostage.

We can also reveal Connor has been spotted shooting secret scenes away from the set. He was filming at an abandoned house. Our insider said: “It looks as though we will find out Pat has been keeping Andy hostage in a secret house. When Oliver has been seen back on set he has been sporting a scruffy beard, so it doesn’t look like poor Andy has been having an easy time of it.” The show’s top boss Kate Oates pulled off a similar stunt when she worked at rival soap Emmerdale.

Two years ago Ross Barton, played by Michael Parr, made a shock return.

In the past EastEnders has also staged comebacks by characters who viewers thought were dead. Leslie Grantham pulled off one of the show’s most memorable moments when his character Dirty Den Watts returned.

And in 2015 Gillian Taylforth was back as Kathy Beale years after faking her own death.
