Security beefed up as boys battle for Tyla
EXTRA security has been drafted in to stop Love Island hunks Jonny Mitchell and Theo Campbell trading blows over sexy Tyla Carr.
Show bosses have guards on standby, with warring love rivals Amber Davies and Georgia Harrison also at boiling point.
LOVE Island bosses fear a “fight night” will break out in the villa.
Tensions between contestants have reached fever pitch in recent days and there are worries it could turn violent.
In Friday’s episode Jonny Mitchell and Theo Campbell squared up in the biggest row of the series so far.
Producers have now put security staff on stand-by around the clock.
The Daily Star Sunday can reveal they are ready to enter the compound if a spat gets out of control.
A show source said: “Producers want to make sure everyone in the villa is kept safe. It is understood there will be rows between contestants but a physical fight won’t be tolerated. If things get too heated, security reps will storm in and put a stop to it.”
Before arriving in the villa last week, cocky Theo admitted he had his eye on Jonny’s girl Tyla Carr.
Within hours an angry Jonny demanded a face-off and Theo joked: “Not coming to beat me up, are you?” Jonny told him: “At the end of the day you ain’t getting it with Tyla so good luck to you.”
Tyla later said: “Theo is playing a very dangerous game.” Then in Friday’s episode the atmosphere turned even more toxic. Producers staged a “recoupling” where newcomers had the chance to pick first – and Theo jumped at the chance to steal Tyla from Jonny, pictured with her above.
It left Jonny with just Amber Davies to pair up with. He said: “I wasn’t given a lot of choice because of a certain gigantic bellend.”
Theo hit back: “Sit down, you prick. F***ing bellend mate…you’re a bellend. F***ing dry your tears mate.”
Marcel Somerville was forced to separate the warring pair.
Tonight, viewers will hear Jonny moan: “The guy is a f***ing idiot.” Theo insists: “Jonny is literally a tuna melt.” Rival babes Georgia Harrison and Amber are also at war over Kem Cetinay.
