RACER’S DREAM FINISH Usain set to bolt for a Nando’s
USAIN Bolt wants to mark his retirement with a Nando’s and a pint of Guinness.
The Jamaican sprinter, 30, is set to call time on his career in athletics next month.
And he reckons a slap-up meal with his big mate Paul Pogba is the perfect way to celebrate.
In an exclusive chat, Bolt said: “I’ve not decided exactly how I will celebrate the end of my career, but as I am in the UK I hope to see my good friend Paul.
“We can go and have dinner at Nando’s. And maybe afterwards we can party a
little and I might buy him a Guinness…but not too many because I expect him to lead Manchester United to be champions next season!”
Bolt is set to bow out of athletics at the IAAF World Championships in London next month.
More than 60,000 fans a day will flock to the Olympic Stadium for its biggest sporting event since London 2012.
Stars including Mo Farah will also be competing during the event from August 4 to 10. Bolt is expected to make his final appearance in the 4x100m relay final on August 12.
He said: “London is the perfect place to say goodbye. It is one of my favourite cities and a city where I have had a lot of success in the past.”
Bolt is the fastest human in the world over 100m and 200m and has won eight Olympic gold medals. He is determined to prove he is still the greatest sprinter alive.
In a warning to his rivals, he said: “I still believe I am the man to beat and I want to finish while I am still the best.”
He added: “It’s been a wonderful career and I’ve done everything I’ve wanted to do. It’s coming to an end and I’m fine with it. It’s an emotional season.”
