WHO SHARES SINS

SAS chiefs’ fury as secrets posteded on

- ■ by

SAS soldiers have upset bosses by posting pictures and stories on Facebook.

The Who Dares Wins outfit works under the strictest security and troops sign a disclosure agreement banning them from revealing any operational details.

Known as the Group Policy it warns recruits that no information must be revealed about operations, weapons and equipment.

Also off limits are details of TTPs – Tactics, Training and Procedures.

But an unknown group of soldiers have created their own Facebook group, posting pictures from their frontline operations showing equipment and weapons.

The page, shown below, which has over 21,000 followers, is packed with more than 2,000 images showing SAS soldiers taking part in training missions and on operations.

Among the photos are the first images ever made public of the SAS working with military dogs.

Other pictures show new weapons, vehicles and some of the equipment worn by soldiers during their combat operations.

Others show bearded SAS troopers posing for the camera after a mission. They are wearing the new style of UK combat clothing and carrying Colt Commando assault rifles.

In one image a soldier has a Fairbairn Sykes commando knife strapped to his chest, indicating that he may be from the Special Boat Service.

Many Army regiments across Britain maintain their own Facebook pages which stick to a strict Ministry of Defence code of conduct and are regularly checked.

A former SAS source said the information on the special forces site must have come from serving troops.

He added: “The images on this site are current and genuine. These are not mock pictures – they’re the real deal.

“Sometimes younger blokes want to see the profile of the regiment raised, but these guys have gone off-grid.

“The MoD have been looking at this and I predict it will be closed down.”
