SIZE 6 NELA SCOFFS 22 BIG MACS IN AN HOUR

TINY Nela Zisser may be just a size six and a former beauty queen – but she’s a champion eater.

The petite model can scoff six burritos in 12 minutes and 22 Big Macs in less than an hour.

And despite tipping the scales at only 7st 8lbs, she’s downed a 10,000-calorie fry-up comprising 20 large eggs, 1kg of bacon, six sausages, four muffins and a pile of mushrooms in 42mins.

Nela, 24, who won the Miss Earth New Zealand title in 2013, said: “To prepare for a challenge, I’ll try to eat as much as possible the day before to stretch my stomach.

“But after a day or so it always returns to normal. Speed is my big advantage. I’ve scoffed a dozen doughnuts in 96 seconds and 50 dumplings in just over 3mins.

“You just have to zone out so you are not thinking about anything else and just try to eat it as quickly as possible.”

Married Nela got into competitive eating four years ago after watching YouTube videos of a famous Canadian scoffer called Furious Pete.

Her mum spotted a contest at her local pizza shop in Auckland, New Zealand, and she decided to give it a go.

She said: “I didn’t think I stood a chance. But I got to the finals and when I lined up with my fellow competitors – 19 burly blokes – the odds were stacked against me.

“I had 12mins to eat as many New York-style slices of pizza as possible. I was stunned when I was crowned the winner and soon I was hooked.”

Two months later she tackled a 1kg burrito in 2mins 40secs on YouTube and now she travels the world taking on eating challenges.

She said: “I’ve eaten everything from a 3m Subway roll to a 2.2kg bowl of butter chicken and even demolished a whole cheesecake in one sitting. Some people question how I stay size six and wonder whether I’m putting my health at risk.

“But when I’m not competing I stick to a balanced diet full of fruit and veg and I love surfing and walking.”
