Attacked over vote
A MAN beat his girlfriend, threatened to kill her and set her clothes alight after she voted Labour.
Robert Cochrane, 36, attacked Misty Greenwood at 2.30am on June 10 before saying: “That’s what you get for voting Labour.”
He trashed her home near Blackburn, Lancs, in a drunken rage as she ran to a pal’s house in her nightie.
Cochrane pleaded guilty at Burnley Crown Court to battery, criminal damage and arson and was jailed for nine months.
