Star set to shine

-

debut album has been five years in the making but it is finally finished and ready for release. The Essex lass has been hailed as a star in the making after hit collaborations with Clean Bandit, Rudimental and Nick Jonas. But the Rockabye singer is determined to become a star in her own right. Chatting to promote MTV’s new series Live Stage, AnneMarie said: “I’ve been writing this album for over five years so I’ve experienced a lot of different emotions, experiences and situations over that time. It’s been finished for a while but I put it on hold to focus on collaborations but now is the time to focus on me. “There’s been heartbreak, love, disappointments and everything else people can relate to. “When I was growing up I had Christina Aguilera, Lauryn Hill and Eminem who really spoke about diverse stuff and that’s what I’ve tried to do.” You can see Anne-Marie’s Live Stage at 8pm this Friday on MTV.
