Daliso pitches for solo show

-

COMIC Daliso Chaponda is set to ■

front his own television series. Since reaching the final of BGT earlier this year he has been bombarded with big-money offers.

And in recent weeks he’s been in talks over a comedy show.

He said: “I have a big TV project I’m working on. I’m writing it now. I’ve been pitching lots of stuff.

“I have the attitude that you should throw 10 balls at the wall and see what happens. And it’s the stuff that gets approved that I pursue.

“I just can’t announce any details about it yet.

“I’ve been a comedian for years so I’ve written a lot of stuff. I have sitcoms and sketch shows that are ready. So it’s a case of discussing which of them is the best.” Daliso, 37, is also working on a series for Radio 4. And next year he will be touring the UK with his stand-up set titled What The African Said. He added: “The tour will essentially be what people saw on BGT, but longer. I like to stray close to the line and shock people. I like to talk about topics that make people gasp.” For tickets to Daliso’s show visit livenation.co.uk. Follow him on Twitter @dalisochaponda.
