LOUISE Mitchell gets a visit from her mum Lisa Fowler as she recovers from her school prom burns in hospital. On Friday night, the Mitchell clan got a shock when the Albert Square veteran returned.
But with Lisa having removed herself from her daughter’s life after she went to live with her dad Phil, their relationship remains strained.
And with Steve McFadden set to return as Phil this week, viewers can expect lots of drama ahead.
Speaking about Lucy Benjamin’s return as her screen mum, Louise actress Tilly Keeper said filming the scenes had felt “special”.
She said: “It wasn’t until I opened up the scripts that I knew for sure that Lucy was coming back. I’ve always wanted to meet her. The girls who played Louise before me all got to work with her.
“I knew we’d get on as soon as we met, and I loved her straight away. We had to get the relationship right and we were just so comfortable together from the beginning. It just felt special.
“It’s Lisa’s return. It’s massive. As soon as I joined, people started saying to me ‘Where’s Lisa?’ so it’s lovely we finally got to do it.”
