Raheem junior’s £25,000 play day

FOOTBALL star Raheem Sterling is investing in a £25,000 adventure playground for his baby son – complete with a daring zip wire.

The England ace, inset, became a dad for the second time in January when partner Paige Hansel gave birth to Thiago.

And Sterling has overseen a string of outdoor renovations to their £3.1million mansion.

Builders have spent weeks installing a huge children’s outdoor play area complete with slides, rope activity walls, a fireman’s pole and 25ft zip wire slide. Manchester City star Raheem, 22, is also converting a three-car garage into a gym, and having expensive gardening work done at the five-bedroom property in a rural hamlet in Cheshire. A source said: “Raheem and Paige moved in just before Christmas and they were initially just focussing on having their baby.

“But now Thiago has arrived, they have been giving thought to creating a fantastic play area for him for when he’s a toddler.

“They were both involved in looking at the designs and dreaming up the different aspects of the play area and really enjoyed it.

“It’s the kind of thing most kids can only dream of. It’s quite a big play area – like what you’d find in a public park, except it’s just a few yards from the back door.

“The best bit is the zip wire at the back which allows kids to whizz from one side to the other through the air.”

Raheem also has a young daughter from a previous relationship.

Last week Sterling was caught on camera when he had to bark like a dog and perform star jumps after losing a game of Fifa 17 to his team-mate Oleksandr Zinchenko.
