Sam and Ella still on song

-

SAM Smith has been keeping out of the public eye ever since 2015’s Writing’s On The Wall became the first-ever Bond theme tune to hit No.1 in the UK.

But fans of the Stay With Me singer will be pleased to know he’s finished recording the video to his comeback single, which is expected any time now.

The Oscar, Golden Globe, Grammy and Brit winner is rumoured to have teamed up with Clean Bandit for his second album which is due to drop this autumn. TALKING of comebacks, Ella Henderson’s second album is also finally expected to be released this autumn after numerous delays.

The former X Factor singer has been struggling to find a killer lead single, like 2014’s No.1 smash Ghost, to launch her comeback campaign.

But despite her recent setbacks, The Script’s

Danny O’Donoghue reckons Ella has the talent to be as big as Adele.

The former Voice coach, whose new single Rain is out now, told me: “I did three songs with Ella for her new album and her label loved two of them so we shall see if they make the record.

“She’s incredibly talented. If she makes the right record she could be the next Adele. She’s seriously that good.” FAMILIAR Towie faces Katie Wright and Lydia Bright will be missing when the ITVBe show returns this autumn.

Katie quit due to her romance with former footie ace Rio Ferdinand, while Lydia left to concentrate on various businesses as well as her charity work.

And while some fans will be gutted, former cast member James Lock certainly isn’t losing any sleep over it.

Lockie, who has just bought the Escedra bar in Chelmsford, told me: “Them going won’t affect the show at all.

“Don’t get me wrong I wish them all the best. Katie’s off being a WAG and Lydia’s doing her thing being Lydia Trump. But I won’t really miss them.

“To be honest, I’ll miss Lydia’s mum Debbie the most.”
