Westeros calling soap star Ross

-

ROSS Kemp fancies a trip to Westeros for his next telly role.

The former EastEnders’ favourite is desperate to join the Game Of Thrones cast before the show ends next year.

He said: “I’d love a cameo role. I love Game Of Thrones. I think it’s absolutely fantastic. I’d love to be a villain.”

Ross shot to fame as hardman Grant Mitchell on EastEnders more than 20 years ago and thinks his experience in a soap would come in handy.

He said: “Game Of Thrones is basically the best soap ever made. It’s all about families and conflict. There’s a bit of violence, a lot of sex. It’s historic real life on steroids.

“And the great thing about it is you’re never sure who’s going to get killed off next… like on a soap. The cast don’t even know.”

The seventh series of Game Of Thrones is currently airing on Mondays at 2am on Sky Atlantic – repeated at 9pm.

Ross’s final series of Extreme World goes out on Sundays at

9pm on Sky1. DIANA Vickers has warned this year’s contestants face a “stigma” after the show.

After making the semi-final in 2008 she struggled to have long-term success in the music industry.

Speaking at the TodayTix app launch party, she said: “Doing the show was so terrifying. I was 16 and performing in front of millions of people and being judged.

“When you come from a show like X Factor there is a stigma. People have a lot of pre-conceptions about you. So I had to work really hard to prove myself.”

X Factor will be back on telly later this month.
