Holliday’s set to Strike out

-

HOLLIDAY Grainger has teased that her new series has amazing sexual chemistry.

The actress stars alongside Tom Burke in a TV adaptation of JK Rowling’s Strike novels.

Fans will see them making their first outing when the detective series is shown later this month.

Tom stars as troubled private investigator Strike, while Holliday plays his novice sidekick Robin.

Holliday said: “It absolutely feels like there could be a romance. We don’t quite know what will happen between them.

“For Robin, it’s all caught up in the excitement for the job. She is learning about herself as she is learning about the job.

“She’s got this new man in her life and the feelings become complicated. I think Robin is in love with Strike but doesn’t actually realise.

“The joy of Strike and Robin’s relationship is that’s it’s so slow.

“There is a mutual respect there and for Robin there is so much more.”

Holliday met Tom just hours before filming started on the BBC drama, which kicks off on August 27, but they still sizzled on camera.

She said: “When you read JK’s writing you know that world. So me and Tom were reading from the same page.

“When we started we knew who the characters were. It was very easy to be in the same frame of mind when it came to their relationship.”
