Shark lark a big catch for curvy Casey
CASEY Batchelor had a posh makeover to star in wacky flick Sharknado 5: Global Swarming.
The glamour girl and her CBB pal Luisa Zissman play toffs in the comedy horror.
They shot their scene at Highclere Castle in Newbury, Berks, where Downton Abbey was filmed.
Casey said: “The whole thing was really funny. I played a lady and Luisa was a duchess. I loved being posh – I got to be really over the top.
“In our scene we’re having afternoon tea outside our castle. But just as our servants bring our cake out a tornado hits and sharks try to attack us.
“It’s all very comical. I fight the shark away with a parasol and Luisa fights it with a tea tray.”
Since it started in 2013, the Sharknado franchise has become a global smash. Other Brit celebs in the
latest instalment include Katie Price and diving ace Tom Daley.
Casey said: “The Sharknado films are popular because they’re so ridiculous and outrageous. “Basically, everyone just gets eaten by sharks. The franchise is huge in America.”
The 32-year-old is hoping the film will help her make it in Hollywood and is already planning a trip to LA to meet casting directors.
Casey said: “I love doing films. It’s a hard industry to crack because there are so many people who want to act.
“But this film is a great platform for me so I want to build on it.
“I will go back out to LA for pilot season early next year. I’m looking at agents at the moment. Hopefully Sharknado will give me a boost. It’s an extra string to my bow.” Casey shot to fame years ago as a Daily Star Sunday girl thanks to her amazing figure.
Then in 2014 she starred in Celebrity Big Brother and had a romance with Lee Ryan.
She cashed in on her fame and tried out for a series of big screen roles. Earlier this year fans saw her in the gritty Brit flick Bonded By Blood 2. Casey said: “I feel like I’m getting there slowly and building up my CV.”
