North-east tops UK porn poll
THE north-east of England is the porn capital of the UK, a survey has found.
A whopping 81.4% of people from Newcastle, Sunderland and the wider region said they watch mucky movies.
And 27.9% of those admitted viewing once a week.
People from Swansea and Cardiff and the rest of Wales ranked second in the league table, with 75% saying they viewed porn. Of those, 22.6% watched once a week.
East Anglia, including Norwich, was third with
73.2% admitting to watching at home and 28.1% doing so once a week.
The area watching the least porn was the south-west where just 64.2% owned up.
The poll of 2,000 men and women in 12 regions, found
24.1% of people watched porn once a week and 8.3% once a day or more often.
Some 57.6% said they had watched porn with their partner while 41.8% said they had not.
And 23.6% said porn had made their sex life better while 66% said it had not made a difference. Seven per cent said it had made it worse.
Manchester and the northwest polled fourth highest on 72.5%, followed in fifth place by Northern Ireland on
71.4%.
Yorkshire and Humberside, including Sheffield, Leeds and Bradford, came sixth on
70.9%, followed by the southeast on 70.1%. Eighth place went to the West Midlands on 70%.
London was 11th in the league table with 68.2% saying they were porn fans. The East Midlands came in 10th on
68.4%.
Scotland was also well down the table, with people from Edinburgh, Glasgow and the rest of the country in ninth place on 69.7%.
The sex life survey was carried out for International Andrology, one of the world’s leading clinics specialising in men’s sexual and reproductive health.
