Friends’ fears for Anthea
FRIENDS worried Anthea Turner would commit suicide after Grant Bovey cheated on her.
The TV favourite’s world fell apart when her husband’s affair with Zoe De Mallet Morgan was exposed in 2012.
In a new interview, Anthea said: “I was an emotional mess, a wreck. We decided to not throw it all away.
“My goodness me, I thought we had done everything to look at this, make it right. Hours and hours of conversation and talk.”
Just a year later Anthea hit rock bottom when it emerged Grant had secretly continued the fling.
Speaking on TV series In Therapy, Anthea, 57, said: “I actually think that was worse, the second time, than it was the first.”
Best friend Chris Rogers added: “I have never seen Anthea so low, so heartbroken and so devastated. I’ll be honest, I worried she was going to take her life.”
Anthea was struggling to cope but reality TV gave her a lifeline.
Just months later she was back on Channel 4’s winter sports show The Jump, which she says helped her.
