Meghan’s ex plans a right royal TV ribbing

MEGHAN Markle fears her ex husband will mock her royal romance with Prince Harry in a TV comedy.
The US actress’ former fella Trevor Engelson is working on a show for Fox about the monarchy.
A friend who works out with Meghan at Pilates Platinum in Los Angeles claims the beauty is desperately worried about the “signals” the programme will send to the royals.
Engelson, who was married to the Suits actress from 2011 to 2013, is working on a pilot about a fictional divorcee who remarries a British prince.
Last night Meg’s pal said: “She will find this all very upsetting, given how fiercely protective she is of her private life and her past.
“The understanding was that everything was cool with Trevor. They had their marriage, it didn’t work out and now they were both moving on with their lives.
“But this will be deeply upsetting and uncomfortable knowing how she has been ‘monk-like’ around friends about what is happening with Harry.
“She understands the weird and unusual position she is in, and has made a conscious effort not to jeopardise their romance with any kind of gossip. For her ex to be making a show about a divorcee linked to the British royals is just an embarrassment. “She will feel hurt by this, and have concerns about what the royal family may say. She will have had nothing to do with this at all.”
The source added: “Meghan has done her best to act demure and responsible given Harry’s position – and we all think she has done a good job.
“For her ex to do this is seen by us as a jerk move, seemingly cashing in on her new life.
“This will bring her months of misery and upset, for no good reason.” Trevor, 40, has refused publicly to discuss his ex-wife, who has been dating Harry, 33, for the last year.
US Hollywood site Deadline reported that the new show is “inspired’ by his own former marriage.
Trevor will work with producers Jake Kasdan of New Girl, Dan Farah of The Shannara Chronicles, and exec producer Danny Zuker, the man behind Modern Family, on the still untitled project. Earlier this month Meghan, 36, told Vanity Fair that she and Harry are “really happy and in love”.
