Moira memorial fall-out

ADAM Barton discovers his mum Moira hasn’t told him that she is planning a memorial for his sister Holly.

As our picture shows, he wastes no time making his feelings clear after catching Moira discussing it with Holly’s boyfriend Jai Sharma in the café.

Moira found Holly dead in bed from a drug overdose last year and her sudden passing sent shockwaves through the village.

But as Moira tries to do something to mark the first anniversary of the tragedy she ends up pushing her son away.

When Adam finds out she is planning a memorial with Jai he feels hurt she hadn’t thought to discuss the idea with him. An Emmerdale source said: “Adam feels pushed out by his mum. Holly was his sister and he was devastated by her death.

“He is grieving too and can’t believe his mum is making the arrangements with Jai.

“He was Holly’s last boyfriend and tried to help her, but he’d only been in her life a short time.”

Our source said Moira is so wrapped up in her own thoughts she just doesn’t think to speak to Adam about the memorial.

They added: “She is dreading the anniversary and wants to do something positive to pay tribute to her daughter. But it looks like she is alienating her son in the process.”
