Boozy Damon hits the roof

Shockwaves from Albert Square unmasking

-

JAMES Willmott-Brown steps up his plan to take over Walford at a meeting with his brother-in-law Hugo.

During Friday night’s episode viewers were shocked to learn that James, who was last seen in Albert Square in 1992, is the man Max Branning has been working for all these months.

As fans know, vengeful Max has been employed by Weyland and Co, although other residents are in the dark over their identity.

It was also revealed his secret girlfriend Fi Browning is actually James’ daughter Sophie.

Willmott-Brown actor William Boyde’s return was kept a closely guarded secret.

Bosses even altered scripts to ensure that his spectacular comeback wasn’t leaked.

Now that his secret is out viewers will see James and his family doing everything they can to carry out their plan to take over Albert Square.

An insider said: “James WillmottBrown was one of the soap’s most despised men after he raped Kathy Beale in 1987.”

He was jailed for three years and released from prison in January 1992.

Our source on the set added: “This storyline is all about power, money, control and revenge.

“Willmott-Brown has never forgotten how he was treated and still blames Kathy for ruining his life.

“It was pure luck that Max met his eldest son Luke in prison and with his connections to Albert Square he has proved very useful. Max has no idea of James’ connections to the square or that he raped Kathy.

“All he knows is that James, like him, is someone who has been wronged by the locals.

“It’s certainly going to be an interesting few months with a number of twists and turns as Willmott-Brown steps up his plan.”

DAMON Kinsella is in self-destruct mode following a run-in with his mum Maggie.

He is still struggling after finally finding out that Scott Drinkwater is his halfbrother.

He discovered the truth last week at his surprise birthday party.

As viewers know, Scott learned who Damon was months ago but decided to make him his new best friend instead of telling him who he is.

Maggie, who gave up Scott for adoption when he was a baby, never told Damon about his secret brother.

And he doesn’t take the news well.

Viewers will see Maggie’s return next month, and she is desperate to make it up with her son.

But Damon can’t get over the fact she has lied to him his whole life and he goes on a bender.

He climbs up on to the roof and gets dangerously close to the edge. Luckily Brody Hudson is on hand and tries to talk his pal down.

A Hollyoaks insider told us: “Damon is struggling to get his head round everything that has gone on with his mum and Scott.

“He can’t believe his mum kept something so huge from him his whole life.

“Maggie turns up and tries to talk to him but she ends up making things worse. Damon hits the bottle and thinks it would be fun to climb up on to the roof.

“It’s a stupid thing to do and although Brody thinks it’s funny at first, he soon realises that he needs to get Damon down.

“Whether he listens to him remains to be seen.”

Fans of the Channel 4 soap can see the drama unfold when Damon’s boozy antics get out of control a week on Thursday.
