WONDER WOMAN (12A)

NOW this is more like it. After three false starts, DC Comics’ “Extended Universe” is up and running with a rollicking first solo adventure for Gal Gadot’s superheroine. The plot sees the lasso-wielding Amazonian princess teaming up with Chris Pine’s military spy in an ambitious bid to stop the First World War. Perfect casting, spectacular action and an injection of heart and humour make this my comic book movie of the year.
