Jane at risk in waking nightmare

Shaken baby worries push Hollyoaks mum to

-

JShe has been unconscious for weeks after suffering severe smoke inhalation when her stepson Steven torched the restaurant in an attempt to kill her.

Steven was under orders from Max to get rid of Jane after she discovered his revenge plot to take down the Square.

Steven died of his injuries while Jane was in her coma, and Max has been desperate to find out what she remembers. He has even been faking his concern and support for Jane’s husband Ian so he can keep a close eye on her condition.

This week he spots the perfect opportunity to keep Ian away from the hospital in the hope he will be the first person to speak to her when she wakes up. Sadly for Jane he gets his wish – leaving viewers wondering how far he is prepared to go to shut her up. An EastEnders insider said: “Max was devastated when he realised Jane had survived the fire and could potentially blow his plan.

“He’s been by Ian’s side so he can find out exactly what it is she remembers when she comes round.

“It’s a cruel twist of fate that Jane wakes up when there is only Max with her in the room.

“She’s been through so much already but with Max by her bedside her life is still very much in danger.”

Viewers will be able to follow the drama as Jane finally wakes up from her coma on Thursday.
