Dan given write kicking

THERE is drama as Daniel Osbourne is confronted by his boss’ angry husband after a tip-off from twisted Pat Phelan.

Ambitious journalist Daniel has been following Phelan and probing his dodgy business dealings, much to the delight of editor Cindy who is Daniel’s new love interest.

As viewers know, Phelan and fellow con artist Vinny fleeced Weatherfield residents in a fake property scam.

Phelan was left to face the music when Vinny fled with their cash, but he blamed everything on his partner in crime.

After overhearing Yasmeen Nazir talking about the development last week, Daniel has been digging into what really happened.

Phelan was furious when he realised what he was up to and warned him off. But with Daniel refusing to give up, he calls Cindy’s husband Ross and tells him about the pair’s cosy dinner.

As our picture shows, Ross bursts into the Bistro and grabs Daniel. Horrified Cindy tries to calm her husband but she has a lot of explaining to do.

A Corrie insider said: “Daniel is desperate for another scoop and has been looking into Phelan’s business dealings.

“After talking to some of the locals, he realises Phelan’s account of what happened just doesn’t add up.

“Daniel was keen to impress Cindy and he’s certainly done that. “But Phelan is desperate to put a stop to his investigation so he tips off Cindy’s husband. Whether it works remains to be seen.”

Weatherfield fans can watch the drama on Friday.
