Yan Gomes hit the winning run in the fourth extra innings to give the Indians a 9-8 win in game two of their American League Division Series.
Gomes said: “Going up 2-0 against the Yankees into New York is a good feeling right now.”
The Yankees will now have to win both of their home matches in the five-game series, the first of which is tonight.
