ANTONIO CONTE admitted he never feared the axe, even though he knew it was hovering.

Chelsea came back from 2-1 down to secure a thrilling win over Watford yesterday, with substitute Michy Batshuayi scoring twice to lift the dark clouds at Stamford Bridge.

Batshuayi was one of three subs who helped change the game, with Willian also being influentia­l after replacing Marcos Alonso.

Conte dived into the crowd with relief as Chelsea fought back but when asked if he was relieved, he said: “To be honest here, I never fear the sack. It happens in football.

“I feel a lot of pressure but that is what I put on myself. If the club decide to sack me then I can do nothing about that.

“But I trust in myself, my work and will do everything for the club.

“When I go home at night I know I have given 150 per cent. So I am not worried about pressure. Pressure is ensuring you give

everything for the fans, who have been so patient and have given us such wonderful support.
