Natalie back as evil home breaker Izzy

NATALIE Bassingthwaighte is returning to Ramsay Street after more than ten years to reprise her role as Neighbours’ most famous home wrecker.

The singer and actress became a household name after stealing Dr Karl Kennedy away from his wife Susan as Isabelle “Izzy” Hoyland.

Bosses have been in talks with mum-of-two Natalie for months but we can reveal she has signed up to make a dramatic return.

Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star Sunday about her comeback Natalie, 42, said: “I knew there would always be a time for Izzy to make her return.

“I had the most extraordinary time working on Neighbours all those years ago. I feel really blessed to have had the opportunity to learn my craft on the show and I’m so excited to be back on set.”

Natalie was keeping quiet as to what it is that brings her back to Ramsay Street.

Executive producer Jason Herbison said: “Izzy is Ramsay Street’s ultimate home wrecker and her homecoming to Ramsay Street will be explosive.

“She is a fearless performer and a dynamic on-screen presence. Seeing her on set with Alan Fletcher and Jackie Woodburne this week, there’s no doubt the magic is still there.”

Followers of the Channel 5 soap will be able to watch Izzy’s return in a one hour special in February.
