Jacey wants to cop a new role

- With ED GLEAVE and PETER DYKE

COLD Feet’s Jacey Salles wants to reinvent herself as a tough-talking cop.

She is known for playing nanny Ramona but after getting hooked on

Line of Duty, Jacey is now desperate to join its cast. She said: “I want to show a completely different side to me…that would be fun.

“I’d love to do Line of Duty and play a detective. It would be great to do something that’s a challenge.

“I started watching that show and thought, ‘Ooh, I’d love to be in that’. British cop dramas are really strong at the moment.”

Jacey found fame on Cold Feet 20 years ago. Her Spanish accent is so convincing most fans have no idea she is actually British. She added: “I love playing Ramona but another big role would be the icing on the cake. But then people might say ‘Oh, I don’t like her doing normal acting… she should go back to being Spanish!’

“I’ve even considered the reality route because I’m aware I’m so entrenched in people’s minds as someone Spanish. “Something like Strictly would be fun but I’m not sure I could do Celebrity Big Brother.

“I’d slowly go insane in there because I’d be desperate for my own space.”

JENNIFER Hudson is desperate to be a winning mentor for the second time.

The US singer helped wannabe Mo Adeniran to victory on her first series earlier this year. Filming has already kicked off for the next series, which will be shown on ITV in the new year.

She said: “I feel good because I can brag about the fact that I won. I use that when I’m pitching for acts now.

“I am coaching on the American show so I’d love to win here and there. Think of the bragging rights I’d have then. “The only thing about being a winner is it adds pressure. I feel I have to win again. I’m trying not to let the pressure get to me.”
